Sometimes I think that musicians are treated totally unfairly. All the time and effort, especially with marching band, and not enough school units to show for. tudies have continuously shown that musicians are smarter, quicker to learn, have better memory, are more socially interactive, are more obedient and cooperate better as they know more intuitively how they are only a small part of a bigger picture. But as history goes, they are paid little attention and wage. Even then, what else do they have to show their talent after school, or even in the professional world? I'm just annoyed that I didn't get into life and school until much later on, as in after. My mother did her best, I appreciate that, but she wasn't much of a teacher. Telling stories of how a great student, good physique, calm and compassionate child I was, why wasn't I given more chances to excel? If she had more patience and skill, and knew more about the specific talents that I had, I could be in a much better position. Now, I have to make up for the lost years in childhood. Annoying, daunting, almost pointless... Tags: childhood, equality, music, musician, regrets, treatment Current Mood: annoyed
